WhAT IS THE TEATRO DRAMA CLUB?
The Teatro Drama Club is a brand-new celebration of theatre designed especially for junior-high and high school students! Teatro’s first-ever student outreach program invites young audiences to experience a specially curated afternoon FOR FREE at the Varscona Theatre throughout our thrilling 2025/2026 season.
Each production will feature a designated Drama Club afternoon, offering students a program created just for them. Upon arrival, they’ll take part in an immersive pre-show workshop led by one of Teatro’s celebrated ensemble members, followed by complimentary snacks and beverages. These interactive sessions connect directly to the evening’s performance, giving students hands-on insight into the creative process. After the show, the Drama Club gathers for a lively talkback with the cast, hosted by our dedicated Facilitator. Students will have the chance to ask questions, hear behind-the-scenes stories, and discover the artistry and collaboration that bring live theatre to life.
THE CLUB FACILITAtor
Guiding the entire program is Club Facilitator Mel Bahniuk, who will connect with schools, organize events, host each evening, and provide post-show evaluations. This ensures teachers and students enjoy a seamless, welcoming experience from start to finish.
